1000% I am really happy you were able to come to this conclusion, most people don't realize this until much later in life.
Yes, I love it! Since I am naturally a pretty black and white person, I tend to think about my actions as if they are the whole me. This article is when I realized-- even if just for a moment-- that if I keep doing that I will be so confused, as my actions come from so many different feelings and urges within me. I am notkne of these things, I am my soul, and my very dynamic personality expresses my soul in different ways.
Powerful! Our feelings about things are ours alone, unless we share them with words or actions. People will define us by the actions we take, but they tend not to notice that our feelings fluctuate, so they can never really define us/limit us by what they see, because they're missing the most important part, the feelings where our actions come from. Different actions will seem like a contradiction to others, but it's not because we are constantly growing, moving, and changing shape. Only solid objects can truly be judged and defined not people.
I remember when you sent me this piece a few months ago. Beautifully written, dear Shaina.
